An Early Twentieth Century Pearl And Diamond Necklace
An early twentieth century pearl and diamond necklace, to the centre an openwork cluster of foliate design, suspended by latticed ribbon formed by woven pearls and diamond encrusted decorations, to a bolt-ring clasp, accompanied by GCS Report stating that the pearls are natural of saltwater origin, circa 1910, the necklace measuring approximately 36.8 x 1cm , gross weight 23.4grams.
A gorgeous necklace, c. 1910. A pearl necklace will always be a classic wardrobe staple, and this necklace has the marvelous addition of diamond details. The diamond details in the centre of the necklace feature rounded and naturalistic motifs of the Art Nouveau, while the two other diamond details are more geometric and distinctively twentieth century. A perfect necklace to pair with a strapless evening gown.
