A Pair Of Blue Poppies Art-deco Style Earrings By Ilgiz F
A pair of blue poppies art-deco style earrings by Ilgiz F, each earring with three poppies with champlevé enameled petals and hot enameled peduncles, on a diamond pave-set background of round shape, the diamonds weighing 2.19 carats in total, all mounted in 18ct gold, made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, hallmarked 18ct gold, London 2019 measuring approximately 1.9cm, gross weight 14.2 grams.
This fine and detailed pair of blue poppy earrings were made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, a widely recognized master in the art of jewellery and particularly enamelwork. These earrings each feature a round plaque with an Art-Deco inspired design of blue enamelled poppies and black decorations on a background of sparkling pave-set diamonds. The Himalayan blue poppy is native to China, Bhutan, and Tibet, and Ilgiz F. draws inspiration from these flowers and the Art Deco designs of the 1920s. The enamelwork is exquisite and detailed, and the black wonderfully contrasts with the diamonds and blue enamel. Ilgiz Fazulzyanov has twice been awarded the grand prize at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards, and his work is held in the collection of world-renowned museums including the Kremlin Museum in Moscow.
