An Important natural pearl and diamond tiara, the tiara in the style of a Ducal coronet, features five old-cut diamond-set strawberry-leaf ornaments, each set with a natural pearl at its centre, attached to a coronet-like diamond and natural pearl encrusted base, the old cut diamonds weighing approximately a total of 65 carats, all set in silver to yellow gold back, the five detachable leaf ornaments can be worn as brooches, gross weight 153 grams, circa 1870, compare with similar tiara from the collection of Queen Fabiola of Belgium, also similar tiara illustrated in “Mellerio dits Meller, Joaillier des Reines” by Vincent Meylan page 146.
