A Cartier Emerald And Diamond Clou Stick-pin
A Cartier emerald and diamond stick-pin, the pin in the form of a horse shoe nail, the head and the point set with calibre-cut emeralds and old-brilliant-cut diamonds, set in platinum and yellow gold, bearing French platinum hallmark and signed Cartier with inventory number 51AY, circa 1920, measuring approximately 5 x 1cm, gross weight 2.1 grams.
This gorgeous Art Deco stick pin was made by Cartier in around 1920, and features bright diamonds and lush emeralds in the shape of a lucky horseshoe nail. This stick pin can be seen as an early stylistic precursor to the popular Cartier ‘Juste un Clou’ collection. This stick pin would add a pop of colour and sparkle to the lapel of a wool jacket or a silk tie.
