An early twentieth century gem-set giardinetto brooch, the body of the vase of a 4.24 carats rose-cut diamond of the shape of a brilliant-cut diamond’s profile, each of the gold handles terminating to a small old-cut diamond and the base embellished with small rose-cut diamonds, the flowers set with colourless and fancy coloured diamonds of yellow and brown colour, rubies and a demantoid garnet, all mounted in platinum and yellow gold with gold brooch fitting, gross weight 5.9 grams, measuring 2.6 x 3 cm, accompanied by GCS Report 79187-89 stating that the fancy-cut diamond has light yellowish-brown colour and SI1 clarity and is type IIa., circa 1915.
