An Art Nouveau Flower Bracelet
An Art Nouveau gold, enamel and amethyst flower bracelet, each link comprising a golden and pink enamel flower, set to the centre with a pearl, the flower set to the centre of an oval-shaped yellow gold scroll, each plaque linked by a yellow gold rubover set brilliant-cut amethyst, , circa 1890, metal tested as 14ct gold, gross weight 10.4 grams. An Art Nouveau gold, enamel and amethyst bracelet in good condition for it age with minimal signs of wear. Stamped 14Kt on the clasp, additionally tested as 15ct gold.
A wonderful bracelet. Created in around 1890, this piece is emblematic of the late nineteenth-century trend towards naturalistic styles, known as Art Nouveau. The scrolling, fluid forms of the gold links each hold a perfectly detailed pale pink enamel flower, at the centre of each rests a lovely seed pearl. The detail and naturalism of the flowers is complimented beautifully by the bright amethyst stones.
