A Victorian diamond, emerald and pearl caduceus brooch, the staff set with ten faceted emeralds estimated to weigh a total of 0.8 carats mounted in 18ct yellow gold, terminating to a round pearl on each end, the entwined serpents and the wings encrusted with old European-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 5.5 carats, mounted in silver to a 18ct yellow gold back, with gold brooch fitting in 9ct yellow gold, circa 1870, measuring approximately 5.5 x 6.4 cm, gross weight 16.6 grams.
