A Victorian Gold Owl Stick-pin
A Victorian gold owl stick-pin, the two-colour gold owl sitting on a branch with leaves, set with two cabochon-cut emerald-set eyes, all made in gold marked 9ct, with gold pin fitting, circa 1890, the jewelled part measuring 2.1 x 0.8cm, gross weight 2.1 grams.
A whimsical stick-pin. Owls were popular motifs in the late Victorian era, particularly related to the Arts and Crafts movement. This lovely owl features deep green emerald eyes and is rendered in both yellow gold and rose gold.
