A Victorian Ruby And Diamond Ring
A Victorian ruby and diamond ring, to the centre a cushion-cut ruby estimated to weigh 0.65 carats, surrounded by four old European-cut diamonds, with V-shaped diamond-set sides encrusted with further twelve old-cut diamonds o graduating size, the diamonds estimated to weigh 0.8 carats in total, all mounted in silver and yellow gold, to a yellow gold shank with rope design decoration, circa 1890, the head measuring approximately 15mm x 12mm, finger size L ½, gross weight 3.3 grams, This ring is in very good condition. Bearing indistinct mark, tested as 18ct gold and silver.
