A Victorian emerald, ruby and diamond grasshopper brooch, the body, legs and head encrusted with thirty-five rose-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 0.4 carats, and twenty-seven square-cut emeralds, estimated to weigh 1.2 carats, a round faceted ruby eye, all set in silver and 18ct yellow gold, with gold brooch fitting, circa 1870, measuring approximately 4.2 x 1.8cm, gross weight 8.1 grams.
