An Edwardian peridot, pearl and enamel brooch
An Edwardian peridot, pearl and enamel brooch, the oval-cut peridot, estimated to weigh 4.75 carats, surrounded by concentric borders of white enamel and half-pearls, all set in yellow gold, with gold brooch fitting, marked 15ct, circa 1900, measuring approximately 2.3 cm x 1.9cm, gross weight 7.1 grams.
A pretty little antique peridot brooch. The vivid green of the peridot, or olivine as the Edwardians would have called it, contrasts wonderfully with its enamel and pearl border. This is a charming brooch; eye-catching yet delicate and decorative in equal measure
