An Edwardian diamond garland style necklace, designed as an articulated openwork frame with a tied ribbon bow top, suspending the principal old brilliant-cut diamond estimated to weigh approximately 2 carats, hanging withing a flexible foliate design festoon, terminating in two asymmetrical diamond set drops, each with a single old brilliant-cut diamond finial estimated to weigh 1¼ each, all suspended from a back section consisting of knife-edge bars embellished with small old-cut diamonds set collets and diamond-set leaf motives, to a cylindrical clasp with safety catch, the diamonds estimated to weigh 13 carats in total, all millegrain-set in platinum mount with yellow gold back, circa 1900, measuring 40 x 8.2cm gross weight 33 grams .
