More informationAn early twentieth century seed pearl and diamond choker, the seed pearls woven into latticed ribbon measuring 1.3cms in width with a decorative openwork palmette and floral designs to each side with mixed cut diamonds mounted in platinum millegrain settings, the necklace ending with similar palmette design terminals and a diamond-set cluster clasp, circa 1910, measuring approximately 36 x 1.4cm, gross weight 25.5 grams.
An exquisite pearl and diamond choker. This piece features a lattice woven chain with seed pearls throughout. Separating the two halves of the necklace are platinum bars set with glittering diamonds. The clasp and centre of the necklace both feature two openwork terminals set with palmette motifs and further scintillating diamonds. The combination of diamonds and pearls is elegant and exemplifies the design styles of the early twentieth century. This lovely necklace would look beautiful paired with an evening gown.
