An early 20th century diamond and cultured pearl necklace

Description

An early 20th century diamond centre and cultured pearl necklace, the detachable diamond-set centre of openwork flower cluster design, all set with old European-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh 11.5 carats in total, the central diamond estimated to weigh 1.5 carats, all millegrain-set in silver with rose gold back, later rhodium-plated, strung with seven rows of cultured pearls measuring approximately 4mm in diameter, with two bar spacers and a white cylindrical clasp on the back, the necklace measuring approximately 4 x 33 cm, gross weight 78.8 grams, circa 1900, accompanied by brooch and pendant fittings.

A gorgeous antique pearl and diamond necklace. This choker necklace features seven rows of lustrous cultured pearls which meet in the centre at a magnificent diamond-set flower cluster. The floral cluster features over eleven carats combined weight of scintillating old-cut diamonds, which catch the light beautifully and provide a stunning complement to the creamy hue of the pearls. The diamond cluster can be detached from the pearl necklace and worn as a pendant or a brooch, making this piece versatile.
