An early Art-Deco emerald and diamond plaque ring, the elongated octagonal plaque set with two old brilliant-cut diamonds in a fine millegrain platinum setting, surrounded by thirty calibre-cut emeralds, to a gold millegrain setting, to a yellow gold D-shaped shank, with diamond-set shoulders, all diamonds weighing approximately a total of 1.50 carats, assessed mounted to be of G-I colour and SI clarity, circa 1920, the head measuring approximately 1.4cm long, finger size K, gross weight 3.10 grams.
A dazzling emerald and diamond ring. The two central diamonds scintillate beautifully and are surrounded by glittering verdant emeralds. The plaque shape of this ring is a typical Art Deco design, emblematic of the era in which this piece was made. The gold band perfectly complements the diamonds and emeralds. This piece would be a perfect dress ring or a unique engagement ring.
