A late 19th century French cameo pendant-brooch, the oval shaped carved agate depicting Ariadne in profile, surrounded by gold frame embellished with natural and seed-pearls, with detachable gold brooch fitting and seed pearl-set surmount, bearing French gold mark for 18ct gold and makers mark with initials VBM, circa 1890, measuring 7×3.4cm, gross weight 20.8 grams.
