A wonderful matching earrings and locket set. The locket features a royal blue enamel background, on which is set an ornate byzantine cross set with diamonds and pearls. The earrings feature a matching enamel oval with identical crosses, suspended from a detailed scrolled gold mount. This set exemplifies the mid-Victorian Gothic revival style, which drew inspiration from the ornate Christian iconography of the Medieval era.
