A Victorian garnet, diamond and gold suite, the necklace with five graduating cabochon-cut round garnets each inlaid with a diamond-set star to the centre, suspended by gold snake chain, the brooch and earrings of similar design with further gold wire-work surrounds, all mounted in gold, circa 1860, the necklace measuring approximately 39 x 3.1cm, the brooch measuring 3.9 x 5 cm, the earrings measuring 5.2 x 2.1 cm, gross weight 80 grams.
A spectacular and dramatic mid-Victorian suite, consisting of a necklace, earrings, and brooch. This matching set features cabochon-cut garnets, diamonds, and yellow gold. Each cabochon garnet is set in the middle with a yellow gold star set with lively diamonds. Both the brooch and the earrings feature detail gold wirework, which adds visual interest to this suite. This set takes stylistic influences from the ancient revivalist movement and is a stunning example of high Victorian style.
