Description

An Edwardian ruby, natural pearl and diamond-set tiara in the Russian style, consisting of five éventail panels graduated from the center, each panel centrally-set with an oval faceted ruby to an openwork diamond-set surround and a natural pearl-set top, embellished with six similarly jewelled floral spacers set, each set with a ruby and a natural pearl, the rubies estimated to weigh 8 carats in total, accompanied by GCS report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indications of heating and the pearls to be natural of saltwater origin, the old brilliant and rose-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 11 carats in total, all mounted in platinum and yellow gold, with silver gilt tiara frame, convertible to a necklace and accompanied by diamond-set back section, circa 1905, measuring 7.3x14cm, gross weight 62 grams.
