An Edwardian Opal And Diamond Cluster Ring
An Edwardian opal and diamond cluster ring, the oval cabochon opal weighing approximately 5.90 carats to the centre of an eight-cut diamond-set surround millegrain-set in platinum to an 18 carat yellow gold mount with diamond-set shoulders and pierced scroll gallery, circa 1910, the head measuring approximately 1.8cmx 1.6cm, finger size N 1/2, gross weight 4.4 grams. This ring is in very good condition.
A beautiful opal and diamond ring. This Edwardian piece features a central opal weighing just shy of six carats. The opal glints with fiery yellow and orange with flashes of green and blue, capturing the colours of a sunset. A delicate frame of lively diamonds surrounds the central opal, adding sparkle to the piece, while the yellow gold setting adds further warmth to the bright colours of the opal. This enchanting piece would make a perfect summertime dress ring.
