More informationA gold and enamel gemset bracelet by Giuliano, with eight open lozenge-shaped links, each measuring approximately 15x13mm, set to centre with alternating cushion-shaped diamonds or half-pearls, within a quatrefoil frame decorated with black and white piqué enamel work, connected by collet-set gemstones of opal, amazonite, emerald, green zircon, garnet, lapis lazuli, chrysoberyl and ruby, the clasp marked C & AG for Carlo and Arthur Giuliano, measuring approximately 20.3×1.5 cm, circa 1900, gross weight 19.2 grams.
An exquisite bracelet. Carlo Giuliano (1831-1895) was a designer renowned for his revivalist pieces. When he died in 1895, his two sons Carlo and Arthur took over his London based business. This splendid bracelet was made in around 1900 by Carlo and Arthur Giuliano and is created in the Renaissance revival style that Giuliano was known for. This bracelet is a masterpiece of delicate craftsmanship, featuring wonderful enamelwork in black and white and a variety of different coloured gems. This bracelet features a hidden clasp, giving it a seamless appearance on the wrist.
