A vintage opal and diamond cluster ring, the rectangular cabochon-cut opal, measuring 19.6 x 10.3mm, claw set to a surround of old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.8 carats, cut down set in platinum to a gold mount with diamond-set shoulders, circa 1930, later hallmarke, 18ct gold, London, 2015, the head measuring approximately 2.4 x 1.5cm, finger size M, gross weight 4.82 grams.
A fabulous and sparkling ring, made in around 1930. It features a central rectangular opal plaque, which glimmers with seafoam green, light blue, and orange. Surrounding the opal plaque is a frame of scintillating diamonds which add sparkle and highlight the beauty of the central stone. This lovely ring makes an excellent dress ring and a perfect eye-catching accessory.
