A Victorian Diamond Carved Half-hoop Bangle
A Victorian diamond carved half-hoop bangle, the eleven old-cut diamonds graduating from the centre with estimated total weight 8.4 carats, set with rose-cut diamonds in-between, all claw-set to a hand-carved scrolled gold mount and carved shoulders, to a hinged yellow gold bangle with snap clasp and safety chain, circa 1880, circumference of the bangle approximately 19.5 cm, gross weight 19.6 grams. Unmarked tested as 18ct gold and 15ct gold tongue. A Victorian diamond bangle in very good condition for its age.
A magnificent bracelet. This bangle features the popular Victorian style of graduated diamonds set in a channel. The cut of these diamonds makes this piece particularly sparkling and eye-catching, and this bracelet would be a perfect addition to a cocktail outfit.
