An Art Deco Sapphire And Diamond Ring
An Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring, the sugarloaf sapphire estimated to weigh ¾ of a carat, set with three old-brilliant-cut diamonds on each side with a fine millegrain edge, the shoulders of rigged tapering design, mounted in platinum bearing French mark, circa 1920, the head measuring 1.3 x 0.7cm, finger size P1/2, gross weight 10.2 grams.
A gorgeous sapphire and diamond ring. The design of this ring is typical of the Art Deco style when it was created, featuring a platinum band in which is set a glowing cabochon sapphire. The sapphire is accentuated by lively old-cut diamonds which add sparkle and period elegance. This ring makes a stunning statement but is subtle enough for everyday wear.
