A Georgian enamel and gold necklace, consisted of seven round plaques graduating in size from the centre, each with blue guilloche enamel decoration surrounded by white enamel fame, connected by three strands of trace chain forming festoons, all to an oval clasp of similar design with a split pearl set at the centre, the reverse engraved ‘Chainette d’amour’ (little chain of love), circa 1800, measuring 40.8cm long, the central plaque measuring 1.7cm in diameter, gross weight 16.6 grams.

Connecting these plaques are three strands of delicate trace chain, which create elegant festoons that culminate in an oval clasp of matching design, featuring a petite split pearl at its centre. Engraved on the reverse of the clasp is the charming inscription “Chainette d’amour” (little chain of love), dating back to circa 1800.
