More informationA Victorian lapis, half pearl and diamond pendant, in the form of a stylised Latin cross, set with twelve square cabochon-cut lapis and embellished with four fleur-de-lis clusters of half pearls and old-cut diamonds, to closed satin-finish yellow gold mount and suspended from a lapis and half-pearl pendant loop, accompanied by round cabochon-set lapis and yellow gold chain, pendant measuring approximately 7.0 x 4.3cm and the chain has a total length of 40cm, circa 1880, gross weight 32.7 grams.
A dramatic High Victorian cross pendant and chain. The yellow gold chain is set throughout with deep blue cabochon-cut lapis lazuli stones, which provide a regal and luxurious complement to the yellow gold. Suspended from the chain is an ornate Latin cross set with square cabochon-cut lapis and clusters of pearls decorating the stylised ends of the cross. The pearl clusters are in the shape of fleur-de-lis, set to the middle with glittering old-cut diamonds, adding an elegant addition to this magnificent piece. A wonderful antique necklace.
