Description

A Victorian diamond-set centerpiece, centrally-set with an old oval-cut diamond estimated to weigh 1.1 carats within a diamond-set frame, all to an openwork surround of scalloped design set with six principal old-cut diamonds and embellished with smaller old-cut diamonds, the smaller diamonds estimated to weigh a further total of 9 carats, all cut-down set in silver collets with gold pierced mount, circa 1880, strung to five rows of cultured saltwater pearls with diameter 7.5-8mm, to a gold cylindrical clasp, accompanied by detachable brooch fittings, the centerpiece measuring 3.8 x 3.6cm, the necklace measuring 33cm long, gross weight 166 grams.
