An Edwardian diamond and ruby brooch-pendant, to the centre a c-scroll set with calibre-cut rubies, surrounded by a diamond-set scroll and foliate decorations and diamond-set bow surmount, suspending a heart-shaped drop centrally-set with an old heart-shaped diamond estimated to weigh 0.65 carats, assessed mounted as G-H colour and VS clarity, surrounded by a calibre-cut ruby-set frame, the small diamonds estimated to weigh a further total of 1 carat, the rubies estimated to weigh ½ carat in total, all millegrain-set in platinum and yellow gold, circa 1910, accompanied by later detachable pendant and chocker fittings, measuring 3.4 x 3.6cm, gross weight 12.5 grams.

A romantic Edwardian brooch. This piece features a classically Edwardian design of foliate motifs, bows, and a heart, set throughout with glittering diamonds and bright rubies. The brooch has the appearance of three vines intertwined, the central vine shape set with calibre-cut rubies. Suspended from the central ruby detail is a glittering heart-shaped diamond, bordered by further rubies. This piece was made in around 1910 and perfectly exemplifies the jewellery styles of the time.
