A Late Victorian Aquamarine And Diamond Cluster Necklace

A late Victorian aquamarine and diamond cluster necklace, the sixteen cushion shape aquamarines, estimated to weigh a total of 26 carats, surrounded by a double cluster of rose-cut diamonds with old brilliant-cut diamonds inbetween, all to a cut down setting with a push snap clasp and hidden pendant fitting, circa 1900, measuring approximately 40.5 x 1.5cm, gross weight 30.6 grams.

A gorgeous aquamarine and diamond necklace. This turn of the century piece features sixteen diamond and aquamarine clusters, each with a cushion-shaped aquamarine in a lovely hue of pale blue. Each aquamarine is surrounded by a frame of lively diamonds and a further scalloped openwork frame of rose-cut diamonds. Between each cluster are two chain links and a single old-cut diamond. Elegant and sparkling, this necklace would be a perfect finishing touch to a black-tie ensemble.
