A French nineteenth century carved gold eagle brooch, the eagle magnificently carved in yellow gold with outstretched wings carrying an pearl in its beak with rat-tail and pin fitting to reverse, stamped with the French eagle head export mark, circa 1880measuring approximately 6cm x 2.5cm, gross weight 13.5 grams.
