A Victorian sapphire, diamond, pearl, and ruby-set bee brooch, the abdomen set with an oval-shaped faceted sapphire estimated to weigh ¾ carat, the thorax and wings set with old mine and rose-cut diamonds, with round cabochon-cut ruby-set eyes, resting within a crescent moon embellished with seventeen graduating in size half-pearls, all mounted in yellow gold, with gold brooch fitting, accompanied by original fitted case of C.J. Hill, circa 1895, measuring 2.5cm in diameter, gross weight 8.4 grams.
