An Art-deco Emerald And Diamond Ring
An Art-Deco emerald and diamond ring, the octagonal-cut emerald weighing approximately 2.1 carats accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Colombian origin, surrounded by ten round old-cut and two old cushion-cut diamonds weighing approximately a total of 2.5 carats, all vertically millegrain-set to a platinum mount with yellow gold back with diamond-set shoulders to a yellow gold shank, circa 1920, the head measuring approximately 2.2×1.4cm, finger size N 1/2, gross weight 4.6 grams. This ring is in very good condition. Minor abrasion to the emerald consistent with age and use. Unmarked tested as 18ct gold and platinum.
A glamorous Art Deco ring, made in the early 1920s. An excellent example of jazz-age design and taste, this ring features a bright, vivid, and impressively sized central emerald flanked by two gorgeous, scintillating old cushion-cut diamonds. Further lively diamonds frame the emerald and stud the shoulders of the ring. This ring makes a gorgeous and dramatic statement and would make an exceptional and unusual engagement ring.
