A Victorian emerald, pearl and ruby ring, to the centre an emerald set between four half-pearls and flanked with six square-cut rubies, all mounted in yellow gold, to openwork split shank, engraved with foliate decorations, the gold tested as 18ct gold, circa 1880, finger size Q, the head measuring approximately 1×1.8cm, gross weight 1.8 grams.

This charming Victorian ring comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Made in the late Victorian era, this ring is emblematic of high Victorian style and detail, featuring a central ruby surrounded by lustrous pearls and bright rubies. The setting of the ring is exquisitely wrought, featuring delicate yellow gold openwork detail.
