A late Victorian diamond-set tiara, consisting of seven large floral motifs graduating in size from the centre, alternating with eight smaller motifs of foliate design, the base with a diamond-set line with round and square collets, the tiara is set with two hundred sixty-eight old European-cut diamonds and sixteen rose-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh 28 carats in total, all mounted in silver to yellow gold back, detachable from frame and convertible to necklace or earrings, circa 1890, measuring from the base of the frame to the top approximately 5.8cm, gross weight 95 grams. A Victorian tiara in Very Good condition. Unmarked, tested as Silver (front and frame), 18ct Gold (back of tiara, brooch and earring fitting).
