An exquisite late-nineteenth century brooch from France. This brooch is in the shape of a mandolin which is incredibly detailed: everything from the delicate gold strings to the tuning keys has been meticulously rendered. The body of the mandolin is set with lively rose cut diamonds and bright colourful enamel. This is a marvellous, eye-catching piece, charmingly detailed and a true example of late nineteenth century craftsmanship.
