More informationA Victorian diamond and ruby heart-locket pendant, to the centre a cushion-cut ruby estimated to weigh 0.45 carats, accompanied by GCS report stating to be Burmese with no indication of heating, to an old European-cut diamond pave-set surround, suspended by a diamond-set loop, the diamonds estimated to weigh 5 carats in total, all mounted in silver and yellow gold, to the back with glass locket compartment, circa 1880, measuring approximately 3.1 x 2.5 cm, gross weight 10.6 grams.
A spectacular diamond and ruby pendant, made in around 1880. This pendant is in the shape of a heart, pave-set throughout with dazzling old brilliant-cut diamonds. In the centre of the heart is a vibrant cushion-cut ruby, with a lovely deep hue. To the back of the pendant is a heart-shaped aperture with a compartment, most likely in the Victorian era for a lock of a loved one’s hair. A romantic piece with beautiful sparkle.
