A gold and green grossular garnet grasshopper brooch, the body set with a green cabochon garnet, accompanied by GCS Report 79209-53 stating to be grossular-hibschite garnet weighing approximately 16.5 carats, the eyes set with faceted rubies, all to a realistically carved gold body and wings, circa 1960’s, hallmarked 18ct gold Italy 1947-1968, made by Garavelli, and later hallmarked 18ct gold, London 2019, measuring approximately 2.2 x 5.5cm, gross weight 20 grams.
