Description

An Edwardian gem-set circular brooch, consisting of two clusters set with old-cut diamonds, two clusters set with rubies and diamonds, and two clusters set with demantoid garnets and diamonds, the diamonds estimated to weigh a combined total of 1.4 carats, the rubies – 1.2 carats, and the demantoids – 1 carat in total, all claw-set in silver and yellow gold, and connected with six round pearls weighing 2.65 carats in total and accompanied by Gem & Pearl Lab report stating to be natural of saltwater origin, c. 1905, measuring 3.1cm in diameter, gross weight 7 grams.

An elegant and feminine Edwardian gem-set brooch. The brooch circularly shaped, is embellished with six beautiful blooming flowers, two are entirely set with dazzling diamonds, two have a centre diamond and deep red ruby petals, and the last two are set with a central diamond and bright green demantoid garnets petals. Alternating their vibrant colours, the flowers are connected by dainty natural pearls. Set against a backdrop of silver and yellow gold dating back to 1905, this brooch epitomizes the feminine elegance and the elevated craftsmanship of its era.
