A fine Edwardian natural pearl and diamond, surmounted by a semi-circular run of diamonds with large old brilliant-cut diamond centre, dropping a pear-shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 10 x 8.2 mm, all to the centre of an openwork trefoil of ribbon bow motifs connected by a delicate laurel-leaf garland, suspending a natural pearl measuring approximately 7 x 6 mm, with diamond surmount, encrusted throughout with rose-cut and single-cut diamonds, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 1.60 carats, all set in platinum, with brooch fitting, pendant hooks and detachable trace chain necklace, circa 1900, gross weight 15 grams.
A lovely Edwardian diamond and pearl pendant. This piece features delicate openwork platinum ribbons and garlands set with sparkling diamonds. In the centre of the open frame of diamonds is a suspended natural pearl. A further pearl is suspended from the bottom of the pendant. This piece comes with a matching trace chain and can also be converted into a brooch.
