Description

An early 20th century garnet, pearl and enamel brooch, the cushion shaped faceted garnet weighing 7.09 carats, surrounded by a scroll, foliate and floral design frame with fine polychrome enamelled decorations, embellished with four pearls and five small old European-cut diamonds, the pearls accompanied by GCS report stating to be natural of saltwater origin, the diamonds estimated to weigh 0.2 carats in total, all mounted in gold with gold brooch fitting, circa 1900, measuring 3.3 x 2.7cm, gross weight 8.7 grams.
