A late Victorian opal, diamond and demantoid garnet pendant/brooch, centrally-set with an old-cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.4 carats, cut-down set to a raised collet and surrounded by six oval cabochon-cut opals, with small faceted demantoid garnets set in-between and all surrounded by a scalloped-edge frame of rose-cut diamonds, mounted in silver to an openwork rose gold gallery, with foldable pendant loop and detachable gold brooch fitting, circa 1895, measuring 2.5 x 2.5cm gross weight 7.5 grams.
