A charming Victorian peacock brooch/pendant, made in around 1880. Peacocks have been popular symbols of wealth and luxury for centuries but were popularized in Victorian Britain by the textile designer William Morris, who designed a peacock-printed wallpaper in 1878. This resplendent peacock pendant is made from 18ct yellow gold and set throughout with shimmering, gleaming pearls. The eyes of the peacock are bright and glinting rubies. This piece can also be worn as a brooch, making it a versatile piece.
