An impressive early 20th century diamond-set horse brooch

Description

An impressive early 20th century diamond-set horse brooch, the body pave-set with rose-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 2 1/2 caras in total, assessed mounted to be of G-J colour and VS-SI clarity, the eye set with a small cabochon-cut ruby, the hooves, the mane, the tail and bridle made in yellow gold, mounted in silver with rose-gold back and rose-gold detachable brooch fitting, gold tested as 18ct, circa 1910, measuring 7.7 x 4.2cm, gross weight 24.6 grams. Condition: Very Good.
